Meals really do matter to our families. Families tell us that dinner gives them a break from the hospital and time to connect with others, as well as a feeling of comfort and being cared for and supported. See how you can make a difference and help provide our families with meals in a variety of ways!
For questions, please contact Sue Hachem sue@ronaldmcdonaldhouseannarbor.org
or 734.998.2103. To help provide a safe and healthy environment, groups are limited to a maximum of 8 people (all volunteers must be 14 years of age or older). Thank you.
You’re invited to create a wonderful home-cooked meal for our families in the fully equipped Main House kitchen, under the guidance of our certified food handlers. Choose your Dinner Program option:
A. Cooking Up Comfort – Choose a date, make a tax-deductible donation of $250, and our staff will create the menu and purchase the ingredients.
B. Chef for a Day – You and your group plan the meal, shop, and bring all the ingredients to the House.
On your scheduled day, volunteers need to arrive at 4:30 p.m. and stay until approximately 7:30 p.m.
Lunch Bunch
A group of up to four volunteers prepares a grab-and-go lunch for our guest families. This opportunity takes place on Wednesdays from 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Our Baking Buddies program is a sweet way to provide comfort and a little treat for our families.
Volunteers can bake at our Main House 10 a.m. to 12 noon for our families. Your group decides what you want to bake and supplies all the ingredients needed, as well as packaging to individually wrap the treats for serving.
Baking groups of up to 8 volunteers are welcome.
Donations to our Meals Matter program help us purchase catered meals for families when we don’t have volunteers to cook.
You can also work with our staff to donate a prepared meal from your favorite restaurant.
